William Daley Will Be President's Chief of Staff, Officials Say


William M. Daley will become the next White House chief of staff, bringing an outsider's voice and decades of experiencewith business to the West Wing, officials said Thursday.Currently a senior executive of the investment bank JPMorganChase, Mr. Daley was commerce secretary in the Clintonadministration, and is currently a senior executive atJPMorgan Chase President Obama will make the announcement at 2:30 Thursdayafternoon.
